D&T Mine Geology

D&T Mine Geology is a 2D and 3D GIS-based solution for planning mining processes and surveying geological conditions during the excavation of underground mines.  It is derived from the tunneling solution and has been adapted to fit the specificities of mining. The solution allows collection, storage, mapping, modeling and analysis of the considerable amount of data obtained during mining.

Visualize 3D exploration boreholes with their related numerical data. Model the orebodies in 3D. Map the encountered geological formations, orebodies, veins and discontinuities on separate level-based layers; map rock samples and instantaneously read their ore content on a graph parallel to the drift; evaluate the effective geometry and extension of an ore in order to adapt and optimize the excavation process; keep the rock-mass behavior under control to minimize hazards; get instant access to related documents… These are just some of the possibilities offered by this solution.

Not only is it an automated and organized storage system, it also provides a synthetic overview of geological information for decision-making and allows forthcoming problems to be anticipated by simplified back-analysis processes. The solution is now in its Beta phase.
